Things to Do in Sidney BC - Activities
Sidney by the sea offers activities for everyone to enjoy either on land, on the sea or under the sea.
- The World Class destination, 'Butchart Gardens', is only a 15 minute drive from Sidney. While staying with us visit Shaw Ocean Discovery Centre a world class Museum and Learning Centre, just next door.
- Sidney is full of unique shops. We even have an antique store on site.
- If you want to relax, there is a beach right out front or spend the day at the Ocean Palm Spa. while here, check out "Papyrus" the on site specialty card shop.
- Starting June - August, Sidney transforms its main street into a a Summer market with local merchants, fresh produce, arts & crafts, great food & live music. Enjoy all sorts live entertainment on each block. Beacon Park, serves up fresh and free entertainment on the New Concert Stage from July though September.
- During the day you can choose to go Whale watching or enjoy Kayak Tours right from our property. Call for more information as some tours are Seasonal.
- The Sidney Spit ferry leaves on the hour right in front of our property. The 15 minute ride to Sidney Island is the beginning of an outing that offers 10 miles of beach and hiking beside fallow deer and peacocks there is even an old bomb shelter to be discovered (seasonal).
- Wildlife and sightseeing charters are also available.
- The Mary Winspear Centre, on Beacon Ave, just blocks from our location, has a wide variety of Plays as well as Community events and Local trade shows.
- Coming to Mary Winspear Centre Saturday, March 27th 2010, - LEGENDS OF BROADWAY - >>> This full stage show features the “legendary” composers Irving Berlin, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Lerner and Loewe and Jerome Kern, with highlights from the “legendary” shows, The Sound of Music, Carousel, Brigadoon, The Music Man, Evita, Follies, South Pacific, My Fair Lady and Showboat.
- The Victoria Gilbert & Sullivan Society Presents ‘The Sorcerer’ in four March Performances at The Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney BC
- Victoria is only 20 minutes away and the nice thing about that is that you can leave the city when you want and come back and relax in our small town.
- There is great golfing within 10 minutes of our location here on the Saanich Peninsula.
- Hike or walk the paths, trails and beaches in the area. Sidney now has Pet Services Available for those bringing their pooches.
- Rent a sail boat and head out for the day. Diving charters are available and fishing charters leave from the Port of Sidney one block away.
- When it's time to unwind,Beacon Landing Bar & Grill offers you the choice to dine in or on the deck only feet from the water.
